Valencia, España, 1968
Born in Valencia in 1968, he has a degree in the Science of Sport and Physical Activity, and since 1992 has worked as a teacher of Physical Education in several secondary schools - apart from a brief appointment as associate professor in the Faculty of the Science of Sport and Physical Activity of Valencia University. He is married with two children and lives in El Puig (Valencia). A lover of greco-roman culture and historical novels, he started playing chess in 1996 and has reached the highest individual category.

Novela ambientada en el mundo del ajedrez, la gran pasión del autor. Marcos, un niño sudamericano, ansiaba tener una madre afectuosa, pero en su lugar fue adoptado por Roberto, un hombre severo, solitario y envuelto en un halo de misterio. Fascinado por las partidas de ajedrez que jugaban su padre y su abuelo, Marcos se rebelará ante la negativa de Roberto a enseñarle a jugar y se volcará en el aprendizaje por su cuenta. Pero lo que en un inicio sólo parece un juego se convertirá en una obsesión que le hará gozar y sufrir, conocer lugares y personajes memorables, pagar un precio quizá demasiado elevado e incluso llegar a descubrir un secreto del pasado.
