El verdadero final de la Bella Durmiente / The True Ending of Sleeping Beauty
Books for children and young readers , 1995
Destino
The author revisits Perrault’s classic tale and restores the original ending. The main change compared to the version we know lies in the cannibalistic nature of the Queen Mother, who, according to rumors, had already eaten children in her youth. Now, while the prince is battling his eternal adversary, Zozogrino, the Queen orders the cook to prepare her grandchildren—and then Sleeping Beauty—for a feast. Fortunately, the cook’s kindness leads him to replace the children and their mother with animals.
