A young couple with their daughter settle in a village in the interior of Spain that languishes by a reservoir amidst the remnants of its dreams: a dismantled nuclear power plant, unfinished urbanizations, faded advertisements for a leisure city that never came to be. They intend to rebuild their lives there, but the girl is increasingly drawn to the mysteries hidden by the reservoir, while the father tries to understand a strange vibration that seems to connect the past and the present, the memory and the unease of those who still remain in the village. And the mother, while trying to keep their lives afloat, feels that there is something beyond the visible that eludes her.

With these characters and those who inhabit the village, José Ovejero weaves in Vibration confrontations and violence that imperceptibly pass from generation to generation. What connects an underwater necropolis in the reservoir with a cemetery where three teenagers struggle with their disillusionment and loneliness? Or a prisoner camp with the fire in an uninhabited house? What unites that young man and that girl who meet at night in the deserted village? What initially seem like unrelated stories gradually transforms into a mystery novel, which condenses, in one place, not only a series of individual stories but also the history of a country.
