The chief banker of a region capital brings together the most famous people of this city to celebrate his daughter's wedding. In the living room of his house, the party becomes the stage in which the tensions that dominate this small society are manifested. The bank manager argues that the Corpus procession badge is removed by the prosperous electrician to whom he has granted a loan for his shop-workshop, a symbol of progress, while the official state advocates continuism and supports the registrar of the property. Confined to his room, the banker's eccentric brother has the sudden obsession that he will become poor and criticizes the management of the family business, a fact that some traders take advantage of conspiring to orient the bank according to their interests. At the same time, there is a rumor that the bank´s beautiful wife is the mistress of her husband's boss.
