At the age of sixty-six, Ginés Toyos Amezaga decides to leave Moscow to spend his last days in Spain, conscious that when he leaves, he will lose everything; that is, if he has anything left to lose. Ever since the police paid him a visit to get him to identify his friend, Lenin, Ginés lives in fear, waiting for the day when the inevitable will happen. This is why he bought a one-way ticket to Spain. An accident in his childhood forced him to flee that country, and he was sent to the Soviet Union to get away from hunger and war. He never asked to leave his country, so no one can stop him from returning. Whilst Ginés allows his anxiety to run wild on his square-paged notebook, his flat-mates try to find a way to survive in a country shaken by deep changes.
