Alfredo Bryce Echenique’s 'Un mundo para Julius' adapted for film by Rossana Díaz

Alfedo Bryce Echenique’s novel Un mundo para Julius has been adapted for film by the director and writer, Rossana Díaz, in a co-production by Visiona TV, RTVE (Spain), Tombuktu Films (Peru) and Machaco Films (Argentina).

Un mundo para Julius (1970) is one of the most widely read and recognized works in Peruvian literature. Alfredo Bryce Echenique's novel has dazzled generations of readers for decades and has been considered one of the best Peruvian novel of all time

The novel tells the story of Julius, a fatherless boy from a wealthy family, who grew up in aristocratic Lima in the 1950s, in the bosom of a dysfunctional family in which he does not find the same emotional connection as with the workers and employees of the house.

More than 50 years after the first publication of the novel, the film was released last November 11 in Lima, with great expectation.
