Borja Bagunyà awarded the 2022 Spanish Critic’s Prize

Borja Bagunyà has been awarded the 2022 Spanish Critic’s Prize, in the Catalan narrative category, for his novel Els angles morts. The Critic’s Prize for Catalan Narrative was established in 1978 by the Asociación Española de Críticos Literarios (The Spanish Society of Literary Critics) and is given annually to the best narrative book written in Catalan language in the previous year. The winner was announced last April, the 9th.

The jury, made up of 22 members of the Spanish Society of Literary Critics, highlighted that Borja Bagunyà "constructs a clever literary artifact that is itself a painstaking existential surgery."

Originally published by Edicions del Periscopi, Els angles morts will be released in Spanish on April 27 with Malas Tierras publishing house,  translated by Rubén Martín Giráldez
