The film adaptation of 'Las leyes de la frontera' gains 5 Goya Awards

Based on the novel Las leyes de la frontera by Javier Cercas, the film with the same title awarded five Goya and is in the Top 10 of the most seen on Netflix in Spain.

The film adaptation, directed by Daniel Monzón, hit the screen in early October and stars Marcos Ruiz, Begoña Vargas and Chechu Salgado, amongst others.

The novel Las leyes de la frontera was written in 2012, it has been translated into fourteen languages ​​and has received numerous awards, such as the Prix Méditérranée Étranger 2014 (France), the Mandarache Young Readers Award 2014 and the Casino da Póvoa Award 2016 (Porto, Portugal). In addition, it was longlisted for the Dublin Literary Award 2016. Set in the summer of 1978, in a Spain that has not yet left Francoism and has not finished entering democracy, the story explores the limits of our freedom and the insatiable need for truth.
